BRTRC BN Lead Engineering Technician in Ft. Bliss, Texas
BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a BN Lead Engineering Technician for an onsite position at Fort Bliss, Texas, White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico, the local travel area, and potential OCONUS locations as designated by our Army customer. This is a full-time position.
Delegates work assignments involving sequence of related operations, standard work methods, and on unfamiliar assignments. Technical adequacy reviewed upon completion.
Lead technicians to perform on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of company products and equipment. Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
Expertise integrating and supporting Army Tactical C4ISR systems and vehicle platforms. Specific expertise in Lower Tactical Internet and Software Defined Radios and networking waveforms like WNW, SRW, and SINCGARS.
Understanding of Army networked operations, mission threads, unit organization and architectures.
Ability to develop system of systems integration plans to include developing modification designs for new equipment installation.
Experience performing Operational testing to include initialization, configuration and troubleshooting of tactical networking systems during test events.
Experience creating reviewing and maintaining technical data packages for changes to network and configuration drawings, interface diagrams and installation and build instructions across multiple systems and components, and configuration baselines.
Understanding of Army tactical C4ISR systems and Army vehicle platforms and their variant configurations
This job requires a minimum of a two-year technical degree and/or seven or more years work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are leadership, and communication during integration of SOS on Army Tactical Platforms, verify network integrity for the integrated system and providing technical support to the soldiers while they execute NIE and JWA events.
Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of craft, vocational or administrative skills, and methods taught in specialized training and or learned through formal apprenticeships.
In relation to other jobs in the same functions, this job requires a basic level of proficiency to apply significant job related experience. This job may assist others as a lead expert.
Current DoD security clearance
Experience with Command Post integrated communications packages, operations and system integration
Knowledge of Mission Command capabilities and architecture, and a base systems and system understanding
Ability to develop interface design drawings, CP system configurations, and power budgets, and network troubleshooting
Understanding of CP integration and interface design drawings, CP system configurations, and other pertinent CP related integration requirements.
Understand how to validate CPs are properly integrated for VALEX.
